Bahasa Indonesia (BIPA) Internasional
This course aims to improve Indonesian language competence for foreign speakers. Participants who take part in the course are expected to have mastery of spoken and written Indonesian which includes four aspects of language skills (listening, speaking, reading, and writing). In this course, foreign speakers will also have the opportunity to get directly involved and participate in cultural activities such as learning traditional dances and playing traditional music as well as visiting historical tourist attractions. Seeing the current situation of COVID-19 pandemic, participants are allowed to choose online or offline classes. The course is designed into two programs as follows;
Program
Regular Program is a 15-17 weeks (1 semester) program of Indonesian Language and Culture course consisting of 50 meetings with 90 minutes duration of each. Students are grouped in three levels of language proficiency (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) based on the result of the placement tests. All competencies of Indonesian language are taught by professional lecturers. Each student will receive a certificate of completion and academic transcript signed by the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sultan Agung Islamic University.

Achievement Reguler Program Course
- Students will develop their language proficiency in Indonesian. The program covers all language competencies, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, at three proficiency levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced.
- In addition to language skills, students will gain a deeper understanding of Indonesian culture, traditions, and customs.
- Students are initially assessed and placed into the appropriate proficiency level, ensuring that the course matches their language skills.
This program is an intensive Indonesian language and culture course tailored to the participants’ needs. The program consists of 16 meetings within 90 minutes duration of each. Participants will also get a chance to immerse themselves with local communities through field trips and cultural workshops. This program is available for private or group. At the end of the course, each student will receive a certificate of completion issued by the Center for International Language Development, Sultan Agung Islamic University.

Achievement Special Program Course
- Participants will experience rapid improvement in their Indonesian language skills. The program focuses on language proficiency in a short timeframe.
- Participants will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Indonesian culture through visits to local communities, field trips, and cultural workshops.
- This program can be tailored to the participants’ needs, whether for individuals or groups. Participants can choose the program that best suits their objectives.
- Each participant will receive a certificate of completion issued by the Center for International Language Development at Sultan Agung Islamic University, recognizing their achievements in the program.
